About Off Broadway Family Outreach
The concept of Off Broadway Family Outreach (OBFO) began on February 6, 2001 when Larry Whiston Sr., Jan Foland, and Daniel Woods asked God to help them make a difference in the West Central part of Spokane, Washington; the area dubbed as “Felony-flats” because of all the known felons living there.
The ministry was an instant success and grew rapidly by offering hope to people who had lost it due to addictions, gangs, homelessness and many other dysfunctions.
In 2008, OBFO opened the Women's Lighthouse of Hope Ministry Home for women dealing with substance abuse issues in Spokane.
That same year, Larry Whiston Sr. was called to establish a second OBFO site to serve Gallup, NM and surrounding areas. In 2009, Mr. Whiston Sr. began working with Floyd Hardesty to build a Safe House for men in recovery.
The next year, the first Men's House of Miracles Disciple Home was established.
